An Account of Charles River, 1901-1911.

Scrapbook entitled, "An Account of Charles River," created by publisher Charles Stearns of Dedham, Mass., 1911, for his parents George Cushman and Mary Neville Morse Sterns. The scrapbook includes clippings of a series of articles written by Stearns for the "The Dedham Transcript," 27 May- 5 Aug. 1911, pertaining to the Charles River, interleaved with photographs of the river taken by Stearns while on canoe trips, 1902-09, and a map of the Charles River by E.C. Chamberlain, 1901. Also includes cross-references between photographs and clippings, a title page, and a table of contents written by Massachusetts Historical Society librarian Julius Herbert Tuttle.
